Sometimes, you hear such good news that it brings a smile to your face. It’s usually the type of news that has to do with people doing special things for children, like the story below.
Two weeks ago, a New Jersey man took on the role of Santa Claus in order to fulfill the Christmas wishes of children. Charlie K walked into the Cherry Hill Toys R’ Us store in New Jersey and said he wanted to pay off all the layaway orders.
In total, Charlie covered 62 orders amounting to $10,780. Later, parents came to the store to pay their balances and found that they were already paid.
One mother, Jessica Jey, saved so she could pay full price for her children’s toys. When she was told that someone had already taken care of the cost, she was shocked to tears.
When asked why he decided to pay off the layaway orders, Charlie explained that he wanted to bring the same joy to the community that it brought to him and his family when he was a child.
In addition to paying for the layaway orders, Charlie also had every customer in the store pick out three items for him to buy and donate to Toys for Tots.
