March is National Professional Social Work Month, so we’d like to take a moment to honor social workers all over the country who dedicate themselves to individuals in crisis!
Our country has more than 600,000 social workers, who all take on significant challenges every day to help people reach their full potential. Whether it’s working with veterans or children in domestic crisis, social workers go above and beyond to make sure people are safe and cared for.
As a refuge for children who are going through difficult situations, we have the utmost respect and admiration for social workers, and we hope to shine the spotlight on them this month and highlight all the incredible things they do.
The 2017 theme for this month is Social Workers Stand Up.
How can you get involved? We’re glad you asked! Here are a few ideas.

Whether it’s on your own blog or in the local newspaper, writing an editorial piece about an issue that is dear to your heart is a great way to show support for social workers. Especially if you have worked with a social worker before, or you are a social worker, your voice could be the catalyst for a great change!
Happy National Professional Social Work Month from Free Will Baptist Children’s Home!
