Here’s a breakdown of what every dollar you donate goes to.
$0.44 — Resident care
Goes directly to the essentials: clothes, personal hygiene items, doctor’s visits, school supplies and fees, extracurricular activities, and outings.
$0.08 — Food
We are able to keep our food budget lower thanks to donations and bargain shopping.
$0.32 — Administration
Including insurance, and houseparent and staff training.
$0.16 — Maintenance
Maintenance and upkeep across the property, which also helps cover our utility bills.

No one ages out of mattering here.
Unfortunately, many children in out-of-home care are shuttled away once they are of age. We offer a smoother transition into adulthood through our Bridge House program, where young adults are put up in their very own apartment.
The Bridge House provides three units for recent graduates, so young adults can transition into adulthood — and the accompanying responsibilities — with confidence. There’s a plan in place and ongoing career support right alongside them.

In 1947, the Alabama Free Will Baptist Children’s Home opened its doors to children who were hurting with nowhere else to go. Over seven decades later, more than 1,000 children have grown up at the Home. These children go to school during the day, have ball or band practice after school, enjoy supper with their house families, and go to bed safe and secure.
We pursue this ministry at no cost to a family, and we’re glad to do this for His glory. Donations make it possible to operate and effectively care for our children. We invite you to become a donor, prayer warrior, and supporter — and help us continue our life-changing ministry for these children.
